Welcome
Life can be hard sometimes and you don't have to struggle alone
Are you feeling alone, overwhelmed, lost or confused about which direction to take, or stuck in a situation and don't know where to turn? Are you having problems with a relationship, at home or at work? Or are you feeling anxious, depressed or hopeless about life? Are past experiences impacting you in the present and you don't know how to change this? It is completely normal to find things tough at times, modern life is pressured and anxiety provoking. I believe that our past experiences impact how we relate in the present day and that sometimes this can leave us not able to fulfill our potential. Working through this in therapy can help you to break free of this.
How Can I Help You?
I provide a welcoming, non-judgemental, confidential space to enable you to explore the issues which have brought you to therapy, at your own pace. I believe that the client-therapist relationship is an essential part of growth and change, it is therefore important that you feel comfortable working with me as your therapist in order for you to be able to get the most out of our time together. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I utilise aspects of different theories within my practice including attachment theory, object relations, gestalt, transactional analysis, CBT and mindfulness. I am aware that we are all different and therefore we will work together to make sure that you are getting what you want from your therapy.
I have over thirteen years experience working in private practice and in charitable organisations, offering face to face or online counselling to adults, teenagers and children with a wide range of presenting issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, generalised anxiety disorder, relationship problems, bereavement, physical, sexual or emotional abuse, coercive control, trauma, loneliness and work issues. I also have experience of working with gender dysphoria, ADHD and autism. I am a trans-inclusive therapist. I also worked for several years providing telephone counselling to children. I have a special interest in how our childhood experiences impact us in the present day. Another area of special interest is necessary parental estrangement - either going low or no-contact.
Please contact me at admin@kirstymurraypsychotherapy.com or 0775 9953798 to arrange a free initial consultation, to enable you to make an informed decision about whether I am the correct therapist for you. I am currently only working with people over 18 years old
Any further sessions are £60 per session.
